Our 5-Year Anniversary Celebration was truly unforgettable!

Five years of hard work, growth, friendships, challenges, and countless memories — all made possible by the incredible students, families, coaches, and community that make Taylor Biagi Jiu-Jitsu what it is today.

Seeing everyone come together to celebrate, watching our students get promoted, sharing the mats, and ending the day with our Brazilian BBQ made this milestone even more special.

Another amazing weekend at the IBJJF Chicago Open this past weekend!

🩶 Our only Little Brave Warrior to participate this time was Margot. She faced the #1 seed in the bracket and went right out there and took her down! ✌️🙌 She has so much heart and fight in her! We couldn’t be more proud 🥹 Arï Cue

🤍 Halie competed for the very first time, she hit 2 Collar Drags 🔥 and fought her heart out! We are so proud of her for going out there for the first time and all the hard work she put in!

💙 Raven Charese had several great matches, hit a great takedown in the absolute 🙌 Great signs of improvement this weekend Raven. We are proud of you 👏

💙 KatiePetersen had an awesome showing after putting in a ton of work leading up to her match! Most importantly, she said she felt more confident than ever going in to it. That’s how you know your prep is solid 💪 Amazing work!

💜 sasha has been consistently putting herself out there on the biggest stages, she is our most active competitor. She fought some of the best Purple Belts in the world this weekend. And we could not be more proud of her as always. You’re amazing Sasha! Keep going 🚀 You’re on to achieve such incredible things!

🥇 First tournament. First gold. 💛

A huge congratulations to Chloe on an incredible first competition! She stepped onto the mats with courage, embraced the challenge, and finished the day 2-0 to bring home the gold medal. 🥇

Winning is amazing, but what makes us the proudest is the bravery she showed by putting herself out there. Competition takes courage, and Chloe proved that all the hard work, consistency, and dedication she puts into every class truly pays off.

This is just the beginning. Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep growing. We’re so proud of you, Chloe! 👏💚

9 of our TBJJ kids stepped on the mats at this past tournament 🥋🔥

Win or lose, every single one of them did something most people never will — they faced the nerves, walked out alone, and competed. That’s the real win.

BJJ builds more than technique. It builds kids who know they can do hard, scary things — and that confidence follows them off the mats, into school, into life, into everything.

So proud of this crew. 🤍
