Department of Romance Languages & Literatures at University of Chicago We offer graduate programs in French, Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Studies, and Italian.

The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures embraces multiple disciplinary and linguistic traditions reflecting the theoretical diversity of our fields. We also provide a number of configurations for undergraduate study, including majors and minors in the languages, literatures, and cultures of Italy, France and the Francophone world, and Iberia and Latin America.

We are excited to offer increased accessibility and a cleaner design. This is only the beginning! Many updates are being made by RLL staff and AHD admin all the time. We thank you for your patience as we adjust to this new site and work to maximize its capabilities for the department 📶
