Friends of Cabrini is an inclusive, independent virtual space. We provide authentic learning and guided instruction freeing unschoolers to practice autonomy and self-sufficiency. We create an online learning ecosystem for every unschooler, tailored for each one.
Operating as usual
Our unschoolers are exploring polyominos and making fascinating discoveries about tetrominos, demonstrating the creative and gamified aspects of mathematics.
Our debate club is flourishing. In addition to studying logical fallacies, our unschoolers delivered well-reasoned arguments on human cloning today, adeptly incorporating counterclaims, evidence, anecdotes, and rebuttals. Their performances were commendable.

Hey, Friends! Embark on a fascinating six-week online journey into the world of polyominoes! This is a six-week online course, with weekly interactive sessions and engaging activities.
We will participate in live online sessions, complete independent activities, and engage in collaborative problem-solving. We will utilize online platforms for interactive lessons, virtual manipulatives, and sharing student work. We will learn mathematical concepts through fun engaging activities, and games.

Homeschool Debate Club tackled a BIG question today: Are skyscrapers sustainable? 🏢 Our unschoolers are learning to debate and think critically!
We enjoyed our field trip to Young People's Theatre of Chicago to see the production of Three Little Birds, a musical on the life of Bob Marley. Such as great experience! 🇯🇲🏝
We visited ComEd today for another amazing field trip to learn about sustainable energy for the future. We also witnessed a live demo on how electricity works in the real-world. Amazing!
