Today we celebrated the commencement of the Providence St. Mel School Senior graduating class of 2026! They have worked, planned, and built - and they have earned the right to dream.

Congratulations to our 2026 8th Grade class! Tonight our Middle School graduates celebrated their achievement with friends and family. We're of our 8th grade graduates and look forward to all they will accomplish in the future!

Today was Kindergarten Celebration Day- Our young Knights celebrated this special day with their parents and family members watching them cross the stage receiving their Kindergarten graduation certificates. We congratulate the PSM Kindergarten class of 2026 and the future Senior graduating class of 2038!

This Tuesday we celebrated our student athletes at our annual Athletic Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to all our talented student athletes for a great year of competition!

Today we celebrated our Fine Arts programs at our Spring Concert!

From our Middle School and High School Choirs to dramatic performances, instrumental ensembles, poetry, and Fine Arts Week competition winners, our students showcased their talents.

Highlights included selections from Hamilton, Wicked, Rent, Zootopia, and more — along with outstanding solo performances, as well as ensemble performances by our PSM String Trio and Middle School Rock Band

For the past 48 years, 100% of graduating students from Providence St. Mel School have gone on to some of the finest colleges and universities in the country — and the last five years are no exception.
We are proud not just of the names on this list, but of the young men and women behind them — students who dared to dream bigger and worked to make those dreams their reality.

Today is National College Decision Day, and we’re proud to recognize the Class of 2026 and some of the outstanding programs they chose including the University of Illinois Gies College of Business, Purdue University’s Polytechnic Institute, and the College of the Holy Cross.
We celebrate all of our seniors as they prepare for their college journey.

Our friends at the Field Museum prepared another wonderful presentation for our 1st and 2nd graders last week. The topic was birds- our students got an up-close-and-personal look at a Great Horned Owl, practiced bird-watching and learned how to identify different birds by their calls and song. We always learn something new from The Field Museum!
