๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Go, St. Ferdinand School Students, Go! Our Annual Ferd Fun Run 2026 - this year, themed โ€œStar-Spangled Sprintโ€ to kick off the summer of Americaโ€™s 250th Birthday, was a successful and fun biggest fundraiser of the school year! Ferd Kids, led by the fun folks at Boosterthon, ran their hearts out, sang the National Anthem before racing, and enjoyed red, white, and blue popsicles afterward! The tshirt, designed by a6th grader, was provided by sponsors Resurrection College Prep High School, The Dog Stop Chicago, Hart Dental, J & S Food Mart, and Saint Patrick High School! Shout out to St. Patโ€™s for having their students print the shirts for us! (Our junior high students look forward to gathering in the hallway each year pre-run to sign each otherโ€™s shirts!!) See Comments below for fun videos of the runners! ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿƒ Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago St Ferdinand Church Chicago

Weโ€™re #1! Saint Ferdinand Schoolโ€™s Entrepreneurship Club has come out on top in the Big Shoulders annual citywide competition with their โ€œHobby Boxโ€ invention! The team members had to create, market, evaluate, and present their product to professionals in the business world through multiple levels and came out on top! We are so proud of their achievement that the whole school came out to greet them upon the return to school on the day of final competition! Shout out to Ms. Kokosioulis for moderating this club! Special thanks to teacher Corrie Rettelle for coordinating this event for St. Ferdinand School. ๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช What an amazing, fun, and delicious CELEBRATION of the St. Ferdinand School Melting Pot CULTURE FEST 2026 was! We ate, played, prayed, created, painted, and laughed through food, games, art, projects, dances, raffles, and performances reflective of our various cultures! Parents, teachers, and students all worked together to provide scrumptious foods and engaging learning experiences for what is becoming a wonderful end-of-the-school-year tradition for SFS families! How beautifully blessed are we! Thank you to everyone who showed their support either through preparing food, activities, setting up, or just supporting us by being present .... We truly can't do this without the help of all our school families!

Please enjoy this small sampling of photos and videos from our Culture Fest!

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™ It was a lovely First Holy Communion Day for the St. Ferdinand School 2nd graders today! With equal parts joy and reverence, the students processed in, read readings and petitions, brought up the gifts, sang songs, and, of course - received Jesusโ€™ body for the first time. Special thanks to teachers Emily Babikan and Sr. Agnieszka Michna, pastor Fr. Peter Gnoinski, and DRE Xochilt Aleman, for preparing the children so well for their special day. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ™ Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago St Ferdinand Church Chicago
