Fifty years in the making. 🍷✨

Opening a birth-year 1976 Château Duhart-Milon Rothschild was a bucket-list moment, but sharing it with my parents made it unforgettable.

Holy smokes... after 50 years, this wine was still alive. The color was remarkably vibrant, the fruit was still present, and it had the kind of complexity that only time can create. It’s a beautiful reminder that great wines and great memories can stand the test of time.

Here’s to 50 years, to the people who started it all, and to a bottle that exceeded every expectation. ❤️🍷

Let’s play a game - THRIFT or SPLURGE because you know my love of thrifting. The vase, wine decanter, serving dish, wine glasses, tablecloth and dishes were all thrifted finds from Goodwill around the Chicago area.

Honestly, creating this entire tablescape for my friends coming for lunch all from secondhand pieces made it feel even more special. There’s something so fun about mixing unique thrifted finds and giving them a second life instead of buying everything new. 🛍️

And the best part? Donating and shopping at Goodwill helps reduce, reuse, and recycle ♻️ Every donation helps keep perfectly good items out of landfills while giving someone else the chance to love them all over again. Just think of the joy that brings others!

Now I’m off to pop that beautiful bottle of Chenin Blanc! 🍷

Let me be ✨crystal clear✨

Cloudy glassware? Not on my watch (or dime).

To properly sanitize and remove any cloudiness of odor in thrifted glassware, here’s the recipe:
8 cups water + 1 cup white vinegar
Soak 10–15 minutes, wipe with a microfiber cloth… and voilà - good as new!

Shopping at Goodwill isn’t just a find, it’s a feel-good. You’re keeping perfectly good items out of landfills, supporting job training programs, and giving everyday pieces a second life. ♻️
