May is the month juniors shift from “thinking about college” to actively preparing for applications, financial aid, and scholarships.

Build a Strong Academic Finish
1. Finalize spring grades — colleges will see junior‑year transcripts first.

2. Meet with teachers to identify who might write recommendation letters in the fall.

3. Register for June ACT/SAT if testing is part of their strategy.

It's May, and your Senior is busy with Prom, Luncheons, and Graduation Prep! But don't forget to have them work on the following for next Fall:
1️⃣ Log into each college portal and accept the aid you want to use.
2️⃣ Finish loan steps now so nothing delays August disbursement.
3️⃣ Activate the billing portal and add parents as authorized users.
4️⃣ Complete housing + orientation forms — these can impact aid.
5️⃣ Wrap up local scholarships and map out summer savings.
Completing these tasks now will allow for a great summer.

I believe every family deserves to understand the real cost of college, and not the marketing price, not the wishful thinking price, but the actual out-of-pocket cost they’ll be responsible for. Because even with a full tuition scholarship, there are still expenses families need to plan for.

My mission is simple: To share what I know so families can make smart, confident decisions, and so higher education stays within reach for their children.

Grab a free 10-minute meeting. It’s quick. It’s calm. It’s judgment-free. And it could save your family thousands.

🎓 College Decision Day is here! For seniors, it’s more than choosing a school; it’s choosing a future. The place where you will live for the next four years!

Parents, take a moment to celebrate how far your student has come. Every late-night essay, every application, the FAFSA form, every tough conversation about cost and fit led to this day.

Whether your teen is headed to a big university, a local college, or is still weighing options, remember: the goal isn’t just getting in, it is graduating with confidence and financial clarity.

💡 If you’re still comparing offers or wondering what those award letters really mean, SkhoolAid can help you make sense of the numbers before you commit.

👉 Book a free 10 minute meeting and we’ll walk through your students’ options together.

For over 20 years, I’ve been blessed to serve families in financial aid and admissions at both public and private institutions. I’ve seen the confusion, the overwhelmed parents, the confused students, the fear of making the wrong choice, and the pressure families feel to “just figure it out.”

And as a parent, I’ve felt it too.

That’s why I created something simple, something I wish every family had access to. Straightforward information and guidance to navigate the college funding journey.
