After receiving the blessing of His Eminence, Cardinal Cupich at our groundbreaking ceremony on April 9, our amazing crew from Bulley & Andrews went to work prepping the site of DePaul College Prep's new indoor athletic complex. This week, the crew began pouring concrete for the building's footings.

To mark this blessed occasion, the first of five Miraculous Medals was placed in the concrete foundation that will become the main entrance to the complex. The Miraculous Medal is a Vincentian legacy dating to 1830, when the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Laboure, a Daughter of Charity, the order co-founded by St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac. By embedding the medals in the foundation we invoke Mary's grace and protection over everyone who is working on this project and who will step though our doors.

Luke Devlin ‘26, a member of DePaul Prep's Jazz Combo, participated in the Illinois Music Education Association District 1 Music Production Festival. Luke was one of 25 students from across the district selected for this opportunity. Participants collaborated and spent the day making new music that premiered at a concluding showcase. Congrats, Luke!

At last week's Convocation Prayer Service, we celebrated the end of the school year and also presented awards to our outstanding students, faculty, and staff.

Our Student of the Year Awards are given to one student in each class based on their actions, attitude, and self-awareness as they relate to DePaul Prep's Core Values. Congratulations to our Student of the Year Awardees: Adam Given (Junior), Samantha Olhava (Sophomore), and Sa'Nyia Lofton (Freshman).

Our "All In" Award is presented to a teacher and staff member who goes above and beyond with their response to Saint Vincent's great question, "What must be done?". Congratulations to our All In Awardees: Ms. Victoria Aguilar (Art) and Mr. Joe Kvoriak (Operations Coordinator).

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave women and men who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Caps off to the DePaul College Prep Class of 2026! 🎓

The DePaul College Prep community gathered in celebration of the Class of 2026 at their Commencement Ceremony at Credit Union 1 Arena the evening of Wednesday, May 20. Special thanks to Dr. Rob Manuel, DePaul University President, for his inspiring keynote address.

Yesterday, DePaul College Prep held its Baccalaureate Mass for the Class of 2026 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Chicago. The night was a celebration of our graduates filled with prayer, gratitude, and reflection as they transition into the next chapter of their lives.

Presiding at the Mass were Fr. Joe Williams, C.M. (Provincial Superior, Congregation of the Mission Western Province), Fr. Chris Robinson, C.M. (Board Member and DePaul University Adjunct Professor), Fr. Derek Swanson, C.M. (Pastor of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish), and Fr. Joseph Malczyk, C.R. (Chaplain).
