It's that time of year again! This will be Burnside's best production yet!!! 40+ students will run the entire 12 Act showcase!! Backstage crew; audio techs; costume design; visual stage artists; lighting and special effects; actors,; extraordinary singers; and dancers.

Greetings Burnside Family

We are excited about this upcoming school year. Our team worked this summer to develop a few new initiatives and to update previous ones. We welcomed back ALL of our students on Monday, August 22, 2022. Students will received a YOGURT AND TOPPING on their first school day. Our goal is 100% attendance.

Unfortunately, the construction that started this summer is not complete. The following work was scheduled to be complete by August 16, 2022.

Boys and Girls Restroom on 1st Floor
Gender Neutral Restroom on the 1st Floor
New Ramp at Door 2 (Inside and Outside)

Completing this is out of our control; therefore, we will work around it. Burnside will be fine, we have other options for restrooms and entry for our scholars. We are thankful for the work to be done at Burnside and look forward to its completion.

We are off to a "Great Start".

Do you have a talented high school teen between the ages of 14-18 who would love a spring job (working remotely) earning $450 doing what they love??? We are now accepting SPRING applications for our Burnside Peacemakers Afterschool Matters program. The Peacemakers ASM program is an Advanced Apprenticeship and pays the most compared to all other ASM program. Selected teens must commit to 3 evening hours a week. We are looking for teens who are musically talented, can dance, have strong oratory skills, great writers, visual artists, fashion designers, game designers and/or great with technology. We will have a showcase the final week incorporating all these talents to promote PEACE in Chicago!
