What to do when something feels "off".
When something doesn’t feel right, you don’t need to have all the answers. The goal is to pause, gather information, and share concerns with the right people. Thoughtful action is better than ignoring a gut feeling or overreacting. Apathy and denial can convince you that what you are seeing is "nothing". Your instinct and intuition should not be ignored.
If you watch interviews with victims of mass violence, almost all of them will describe something suspicious, out of place, or not normal before the tragedy happened.

Rest in peace. I saw Commander Scott Byrd speak last month about the Covenant Shooting. By all accounts he was a true leader and warrior.

Happy Halloween. If you have kids remind them to be safe while trick or treating. Little known fact: tell them to be aware of cars and traffic. That is the biggest danger they face as they walk around in darkness. Especially the little ones who people driving sometimes don’t see because of their height. 😈 👻 🎃

You are more likely to need and use medical training than your favorite cool guy/gal EDC items. Although trauma care training is being implemented and taught more and more, it is a perishable skill. If you think that practicing this, CPR, AED, etc once a year without further practice is sufficient you are sorely mistaken. The more practice reps the better you can be during the stress of a real life incident. These training items can all be purchased at a low cost. You can practice your skills and teach others in your family to be more capable. Plus these items and your training can be taken virtually anywhere.
