Cheyenne Big Country FFA

The end of the year BBQ will be Thursday at the school farm at 5:00 PM. Don’t dress Fancy! For members from all schools in Cheyenne to get together and enjoy one last gathering before summer! We will have dinner for the kids!

FFA monthly meeting Tuesday at the South Ag Lab 6:30 PM we will have dinner.

Our banquet will be held next Wednesday April 29th at 6:30 PM the banquet will be at the Kiwanis community house in Lions Park. Freshman and Seniors bring desserts. Sophomores and Juniors bring sides. We will provide smoked pork loin.
This is an amazing event please show up and bring your whole family! We have had a great year and let’s celebrate what we have accomplished. The kids have a qr code to sign up!

Day three of last week’s Wyoming State FFA Convention kept us busy! Our junior high horse team competed in the Horse Evaluation contest, the high school Sales Team competed in the sales contest, and several members participated in leadership workshops throughout the day. Some of our sheep showman found time to feed their lambs in OD at the farm and we may have had enough time to get Starbucks before the sales contest!

Last week’s day two of the Wyoming State FFA convention started with Ag Mechanics and many of the members attended leadership workshops and the career fair throughout the day! Andrea was on stage that night as well! She was the first ever prepared public speaker from our chapter to make the stage!

Last week the 99th Wyoming State FFA convention was held in Cheyenne! Here are a few of our highlights from day 1! We had our first ever member compete in the prepared public speaking contest and our meats team was also our first team from this chapter to walk across the big stage where they placed 6th!

Cheyenne FFA Degree Ceremony – February 24
Families are invited to attend the Cheyenne FFA Degree Ceremony on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the LCSD #1 Administration Building.
Students who have attended FFA meetings, participated in events, and stayed active in FFA will earn their respective FFA degree to place on their official FFA jacket.
We hope you can join us as we recognize our students for their hard work and involvement. Please contact Mr. Cox with any questions.
