One Cheyenne is a project of Wyoming Equality, the state’s oldest and largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing rights for LGBTQ Wyomingites and their families. One Cheyenne strives to pass a city ordinance with protections from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression in the workplace, housing, and public accommodations. The coalition consists of community organizations, including civic leaders, businesses and business owners, faith leaders and individuals. One Cheyenne regularly meets with elected officials, provides ongoing educational information about non-discrimination ordinances (NDO), canvasses events for support, and participates in community forums and events.
