Kalman Magyar and Louise O. Vasvári represented AHEA at the ceremony to accept the Kallos Zoltan award for maintaining Hungarian culture in the diaspora. Both of them were perfect representatives to accept the award on behalf of AHEA.

Egy szervezet életében 50 konferencia, amely egymást követő években mindig más egyetemi városban kerül megrendezésre, nem kis teljesítmény. Az Amerikai Magyar Tanáregyesület (AHEA) ilyen szervezet, amely idén áprilisban rendezte 50. konferenciáját a Cleveland Állami Egyetemen. Az egyesület alapításának gondolata 1974-ben éppen ebben a városban fogant, így ezúttal visszatért az egyesület a kezdeti helyszínhez. A konferencia témája ezúttal az Egyesült Államok 250. születésnapjához igazodott. A beszámolót a konferenciáról itt olvashatják el.

The wait is over... the 51st Annual Conference will be hosted by Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in April, 2027. Check back for updates!

The 50th annual American Hungarian Educators Association (AHEA) conference starts this week on Thursday.

The latest version of the program includes a map (at the end) showing a schematic drawing of the key locations (and distances) of the conference. The parking garage closest to Mather Mansion is marked on the map as East Garage. The parking deck says "permit only"; don’t let this throw you off. It is a visitor parking deck, so the user must obtain a permit (pull a ticket on the way in) to park there.
