The woods have a different story to tell in the fall. Trees trade their summer greens for gold, red, and everything in between. The air turns crisp, and the leaves beneath our feet give the trail a rhythm of its own. Even familiar trails seem to reveal something new.

The changing season gives us a reason to wander a little farther, to follow the trail and see what we might discover along the way. Pack a bag, bring the family, and head into the woods.

Today is the first day of Fall!! While summer is our favorite, we're all in on colorful hikes, fresh apple c***r, and cozy jackets.

Now is the perfect time to step outside and immerse yourself in nature. Hit the trail to take in all the stunning 🍂, or join us on one of our Guide Family Day Hikes. Fall is a great season to be out in nature.

Happy Ed Bieber Day!

In 2009, Rockland County officially proclaimed September 16 “Ed Bieber Day,” a day to honor and celebrate the naturalist whose vision was to bring all to connect with nature and, in doing so, learn to connect with others and ourselves. With his pioneering environmental education, Ed created The Nature Place.

And just like that... we're back home! 🌲 Oh and it feels great being back in our place, the fresh air, the hawks soaring, and all the busy, joyful work of getting ready for another magical summer here at The Nature place.

Some of the most meaningful parts of camp grow through the relationships between campers and counselors. 💚
Whether it's sharing a laugh during an activity, offering encouragement on a hard day. leading a silly song, or being someone campers can look up to, these connections become such an important part of the summer experience.
We are so grateful for our counselors who create an amazing environment for our campers. 🌿

🎉 Congratulations to NPDC lifer, Ella, on her graduation! 🌟 Having grown up at The Nature Place and shining as a kind and caring counselor, Ella has also spent this spring bringing her great ideas and dedication to our team as an intern. Thank you for your incredible contributions! We can't wait to see you at camp!

The Pond is filling up, camp is getting closer, and we can already picture campers swimming, laughing, and making memories together again. 💧
Watching camp slowly come back to life before the season begins is always something special, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back for another unforgettable summer at The Nature Place! 🌳 💚
