EANA Eurythmy Festival: 52 Colors of the Soul
August 12-16, 2026

Rudolf Steiner composed the calendar to tune the soul as a companion through the year. Later on, he also created eurythmy forms for each verse in variously sized groups. This festival will bring all 52 verses to performance in eurythmy in English, as a U.S. premiere.

We welcome the general public interested in exploring this remarkable progression through lectures and artistic workshops in eurythmy, speech, painting, and plant dyeing.

Eurythmy Spring Valley is delighted to offer two weeks of pedagogy for professional eurythmists on our campus in August 2026, embedded in our pedagogical training courses. Each week will provide a different pedagogical focus and content for participants.

Week One: Monday – Friday, August 3-7, 2026
Week Two: Monday – Thursday, August 10-13, 2026

During the first week, we'll be reviewing the pedagogical eurythmy curriculum for nursery/kindergarten through the seventh grade with John Holmes, a long-time eurythmy teacher, retired from the Kimberton Waldorf School, PA. With Lisa Profumo, a class teacher at the Berkshire Waldorf School, MA, we'll be reading and discussing Christof Wiechert's lectures from the book Teaching, the Joy of Profession.

In the second week, we'll be looking at the eighth grade curriculum, presented by Patti Regan, eurythmy teacher at the Berkshire Waldorf School, MA. Following that, we'll be immersed into high school eurythmy by Raymonde Fried from Kimberton Waldorf School, PA.

Explore the heart of eurythmy — its artistry, its meaning, and its power for inspiration!
Encounter passionate students through the process of performance.
Engage in movement that brings music, poetry, and story to life.

A two-week intensive designed for young adults 17-20, this overnight summer program will feature daily eurythmy rehearsals, creative writing, an outing in NYC, music, games, swimming, and a final performance of the participants' work.

To understand the beingness of White Cinquefoil (Potentilla alba) and looking into its healing process, this plant was studied with the Goethean method in its specific year-long flow to see how it "speaks" with the language of gestures.

Barbara Hadeljan from Croatia, Europe, is a biologist, eurythmist, and teacher. She holds a diploma on Goethean botany from Dornach, Switzerland. Her work was published in the anthroposophical medicine newsletter Merkurstab.
