We're so proud of our own Teddy Lehre for winning the Krause Research Fellowship!
The Krause Research Fellowship wass awarded to Theodore Lehre for their project “Alternative Motherhoods in Twentieth- and Twenty-first Century Irish Literature.” This project identifies how alternative motherhoods challenge the foundations of Irish society, both the “bad” alternative mothers who disrupt the entire concept of motherhood and the “good” alternative mothers, who nonetheless challenge the status quo.

The novels and short stories of James Joyce continue to inspire creativity in the arts and everyday life. Drawing on the work of scholars and our students, we held a conference today to celebrate and examine how Joyce's intricate wonders continue to shape the world we live in.

graduate students have won the university's Von Hendy Award for Graduate Student Writing.
PhD student Jessica Oyler won for her paper titled "O'Brien Other Country Girl: A Post-Dobbs Analysis of Down by the River." MA student Quinn Fisher won for her paper titled "Big House Bodies: Reading Anamility in Keane and Johnston."
