Hi everyone!

BC MEDLIFE is raising money to provide food for families struggling with acute hunger brought on by the COVID-19 crisis in Peru, Ecuador and Tanzania. These families already lack access to water, basic sanitation and medical attention. 70% of Peru’s workforce is in the informal sector, and those that have lost these jobs are unable to collect the government stimulus because they may not have a bank account, ID card, or are unable to physically walk the distance to a bank. Further, crowded informal settlements make it impossible to socially distance.

There is one simple thing we can do to alleviate the suffering of these families during this time: provide food. A healthy diet prevents both acute hunger as well as nourishes the immune system to fight diseases such as COIVD-19. With a donation of only US$ 30, you can feed an entire family for 1 week. Any and all amounts are extremely helpful and accepted. If you are not in a position to donate, we simply ask that you pass along this message. Spread the !

Consider donating using our team link!! Our goal is $1000 as a team!!!

During our first “power hour” campaign with MEDLIFE our group of 4 chapters raised $2220, which will feed over 513 families for a day!! We have the power to make an impact :)

We have attached our BC MEDLIFE video explaining what Moving Mountains Campaign and how you can support :)

MEDLIFE has created the Moving Mountains initiative to provide hunger relief to low-income communities in Peru and Ecuador who are without work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are asking current members to attend an info session tomorrow or Monday to learn about how we as a club can provide help.
