Pursuit of adventure in an outdoor setting. Expeditions can greatly contribute towards building strength of character.

Joseph Conrad in Lord Jim tells us that it is necessary for a youth to experience events which “reveal the inner worth of the manor woman; the edge of his/her temper; the fiber of his/her stuff; the quality of his/her resistance; the secret truth of his/her pretenses; not only to themselves but to others.

A throwback Friday to a Mount Monadnock trip that ran on Nov. 12! This is a HARD mountain to hike and all the participants did great! Even though weather prevented a summit of the mountain, it’s about the journey, not the destination! 🥾

Recap of our spooky day hike last Sunday, October 30th.

The participants made the hike super special! We were so happy that they rallied that Sunday morning to be with us and climb the Skyline Loop! An awesome up-and-down 3-mile loop led us to a fort lookout at the top of Great Blue Hill where we enjoyed PB and Js before our decent.
