According to the National Ocean Service, the ocean covers 70% of the Earth's surface and contains up to 97% of the planet's water! 💧

With stats like that, it's no surprise that the ocean is home to so many incredible creatures. Whether you're looking for a picture book about a favorite oceanic animal or you're ready to dive deep into a nonfiction text full of fun facts, the ERC is home to *almost* as many books as there are fish in the sea. Stop by this week to embark on your very own aquatic adventure! 🐟🐡🐋

Awarded by the American Library Association's Rainbow Roundtable, the award has included exceptional books for children and young adults since 2010. Stop by this week to borrow one of these recent publications, or one of the many excellent titles awarded the Stonewall Mike Morgan and Larry Romans Children's & Young Adult Literature Award in years past! 📚🌈
