Today, we celebrate and honor Indigenous Peoples' Day.

During Friday's assembly, students were treated to a special visit by members of the Taino Native American tribe, including Pre-K teacher Ms. Pilon's family!

CHS Hawks celebrated an amazing Family Picnic yesterday on the school soccer field! 🧺 💙

Between playing on the soccer field, to making new friends, to celebrating the new school year, this annual tradition was so much fun for Hawks in every grade. A big thank you to our fantastic parent volunteers, who led our pizza tables, handed out cookies, and managed our CHS Pop-Up Shop!

CHS Field Day 2026! ☀️ 🍂 ⚽️ 🏈

Our Hawks enjoyed a gorgeous fall day, breaking into mixed-grade teams for a day of friendly games. From throwing frisbees and footballs to pumpkin relays and noodle tag, there was no shortage of joy and excitement! Field day gave our students a chance to build community, make new friends, and cheer each other on!

Thank you to Mr. Nickerson and Mr. Edwards for organizing this beloved annual tradition for our students.

🇲🇽 🇦🇷 🇵🇷 🌎 Today’s assembly was a special celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! We learned about its history and origin, sang songs en español, and about Frida Kahlo and her art.

Señora Feder shared an especially heartwarming story about one of our students that gave her a mate cup. In Argentine culture, giving mate is a meaningful gesture of friendship and trust, which made the gift especially touching to her. We loved hearing her story and learning more about a tradition that is so close to her heart.

We missed Ms. Smith so much, we had to bring her back! 💙

After 42 incredible years of teaching fourth grade at Chestnut Hill School, Carrie Smith has retired from the classroom—but not from our community!

We’re thrilled to welcome her back as our Alumni Engagement Coordinator and she can’t wait to reconnect with CHS alumni from across the years. From school and careers to families, adventures, and everything in between, she wants to hear what you’ve been up to!
