In partnership with the Maryland Highway Safety Office, our team conducted another successful annual Traffic Records Coordinating Committee (TRCC) Crash Availability Summer Institute last month.

Various transportation field experts filled the room for the hands-on training sessions, focusing on elevating their data analytics and visualization using the Power of GIS!

Our staff, Sean Lynn, Matthew Lewis, and Patrick Musick were accompanied by GIP interns, August Hohenadel and Erin Helgerman, and Justin Looper. Great work to everyone who made this training informative and engaging!

Our GIP Staff and GIS Community Support Intern, Seanna Sutton attended and presented at the 2-day TUgis: Maryland's Geospatial Conference this week. They joined over 500 GIS professionals across the region to take part in growing and empowering the GIS community.

We couldn't be more proud of Seanna for her graceful delivery, highlighting methods she used to enhance a beautiful map she created for the Foreman's Branch Bird Observatory at Washington College this past spring semester. ⭐

Remember overhead projectors? 🤓Believe it or not, we still use them!
Six Kent County High School students participated in a fun🗺map layering activity, lead by our staff, Madison Kaye and Rano Marufova. We provided real-world applications of GIS and shared a number of possible career pathways to this field.
