Last week, Mrs. Hicks' science students put their predictions to the test with a falling object experiment!

Working in pairs, students tested what would happen when they dropped a paper folded in half, a paper folded in fourths, and a crumpled piece of paper. They timed each drop, recorded their results, and compared their observations after five trials of each paper shape.

A great hands-on way to explore how the shape of an object can affect how it falls!

Mrs. Ritter’s classes were on a mission to help Harry! Students worked in teams to build a perch that would allow Harry to easily see around their classroom.

The challenge? Teams had to work together, stay within a set timeframe, and use only the materials in their supply bag!

I wonder who built the highest perch?

Mrs. Mercon’s ELA classes kicked off the school year with a special flower-themed project all about growth and support. Students reflected on the roots—the people who support them, the stems—the things that keep them going, and the flowers—what they are learning and growing in.

A beautiful reminder that we all grow with a little support along the way!
