Join us in welcoming our new Television & Media Production Teacher, Christopher Norton 🎉

“As a product of Monacan High, Providence Middle, and Reams Road Elementary it is deeply fulfilling to be returning to CCPS as a teacher of TV & Media Production.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast-Cable from Penn State, I came home to Richmond and worked my way up the ladder at WTVR-TV CBS 6. I spent over two decades there as a video photojournalist, covering the news & local events that matter to Central Virginians. I spent the last two and a half years as a Senior Video Editor at CoStar, contributing videos to Homes.com, Apartments.com and CoStar News.

At CBS 6 and CoStar, I was continually entrusted to teach and mentor interns and new hires. I leaped at the chance to join the amazing staff at CTC Hull, and can’t wait to share my experiences with the newest generation of television & media professionals.”

Welcome aboard, Chris! We’re excited to have you join the CTC family!

Join us in welcoming our new Lodging Management Teacher, Gregory Owens🎉

Greg Owens is originally from Indiana and earned his degree from Ball State University. He brings more than 22 years of hospitality industry experience and over nine years of educational experience to the classroom.
His hospitality career took him throughout the Midwest and East Coast before he settled in Virginia 16 years ago. After transitioning into education, he spent nine years teaching Economics and Personal Finance (EPF) at Carver College and Career Academy, where he helped students develop financial literacy and workplace readiness skills. During his time at Carver, he also served as the cross country and track coach, mentoring student-athletes and fostering teamwork, discipline, and perseverance both on and off the field.

Mr. Owens is excited to join the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center (CCTC) family as the Lodging Management instructor. He looks forward to sharing his industry experience with students through engaging, hands-on learning while helping them develop the technical skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in college, careers, and the dynamic hospitality and tourism industry.

Join us in welcoming our new Game Design & Programming teacher, Hailey Wilson.

“I graduated from VCUarts in 2026, where I studied Art and developed a passion for the creative side of Game Development. Outside the classroom, I enjoy creating indie games and oil painting, always looking for new ways to combine art, storytelling, and technology.

I’m a cheerful, goofy person who believes learning should be fun, hands-on, and creative. I’m excited to share both the artistic and technical sides of Game Development with my students, helping them build confidence in programming while encouraging them to express their own unique ideas through games. I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together!”

Welcome aboard, Hailey! We’re excited to have you join the CTC family!
