Interview Day connects CTC students with careers
The Career and Technical Center recently hosted its annual Interview Day, where more than 30 business partners conducted interviews with nearly 230 students. Over the two-day event, students gained valuable experience while seeking job shadowing, internships and immediate employment. Beyond the interviews, students sharpened their employability skills through sessions on social media etiquette, professional headshots and micro-credentialing preparation.

We are excited to announce an update to our new Game Development and Security Technology program for the 2026-27 school year. To provide greater flexibility for our students, the program has been redesigned as a one-year intensive experience, making it available to both rising juniors and seniors.
By consolidating the curriculum into a single year, we ensure that future-focused students can more easily fit the program into their schedules. The coursework will focus primarily on animation, with essential programming and cybersecurity concepts integrated throughout the year.

We're excited to share that two CTC Courthouse students are recipients of the Leadership for the 21st Century Scholarship. Each recipient received a $2,500 scholarship to pursue higher education. Students were announced and celebrated at the Black History Month (BHM) 2026 Celebration held at Virginia State University.
We also want to shout out Mrs. Trista Grigsby’s Plant Systems program for the beautiful floral centerpieces that were displayed on every table and added such a special touch to the event.
Please join us in celebrating our scholarship recipients, Diamond Jennings (Medical Assisting) and Tierra Moore (Precision Machining Technology)!
