The Dorothy P Ott Scholarship is a scholarship for Matoaca Seniors in memory of long time Matoaca High employee, Dorothy Ott.

I had the honor of presenting Mary Mansfield the 2025 Dorothy P Ott scholarship at the Matoaca High senior awards ceremony on Friday. Mary will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall. She has a list of accomplishments for her four years at Matoaca, including All State honors for Cross Country and Track. We are very proud that this scholarship went to such a deserving student.

The official Ott Trot event has been cancelled due to participation not hitting the required number. However, we are still walking on Saturday, June 15! This will be a very informal event and just getting together to walk in Muma's memory. If you registered before Friday, May 24, your T-shirt was ordered (hopefully they come in time!). Your registration is considered a donation to the scholarship, so THANK YOU! If you would like to join us and would like to donate to the scholarship (or even if you don't want to join us, but want to donate), I've included the link to the fund. This will just be a donation to the scholarship; not a registration to the race.
