What if the learning environment were Mount Kilimanjaro?

A limited number of spaces remain for Kilimanjaro Adventure CME, an immersive high-altitude and wilderness medicine experience taking place January 26–February 3, 2027, along the Machame Route in Tanzania.

Led by Lara Phillips, MD, the program combines live virtual preparation with evidence-based lectures, case discussions, field teaching, and experiential learning on the mountain.

Participants may earn up to 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. The expedition is limited to 15 participants, and no prior mountaineering or wilderness medicine experience is required.

This activity is jointly provided by the Healthcare Alliance for Medical Education and Tenacious Medical Education. An exciting example of how innovative educational ideas can become meaningful accredited learning experiences.

Nos alegra compartir que las 16 conferencias de la Convención Anual SEIPR 2026 ya están disponibles en formato on-demand para quienes no pudieron participar en la actividad presencial.

El programa ofrece hasta 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ y podrá completarse a su propio ritmo hasta el 21 de noviembre de 2026.

Entre los temas se incluyen CRAB, hepatitis B y C, agentes de acción prolongada para VIH, enfermedades infecciosas en pacientes trasplantados, vacunación en adultos, guías actualizadas de UTI, influenza y la nueva variante, esporas fúngicas en Puerto Rico, Rabia y varias presentaciones basadas en casos clínicos.

What happens when you put 80+ physicians in an Escape Room built around a real clinical scenarios?

At SEIPR 2025, we designed a custom educational experience called "Operation: Hidden Strain" focused on HIV. Teams of physicians worked through clinical puzzles covering resistance patterns, therapy selection, and diagnostic gaps — all tied to specific learning objectives.
