I'm considering hosting a very small and intimate "Speaker Training Workshop" at my home for just 6-8 people. If you love to help people and get paid really well doing so, keep reading.

The ability to speak and communicate your message is not only the highest paid profession on earth, I’m also a firm believer it's the most effective way to make the largest difference in the lives of others.

At my first speaking opportunity ever, I nervously got up in front of a room of 200 people, shared everything I knew about my real estate business, (I was flipping 60-70 houses per year at the time…) and thought for sure the audience would love what I was sharing enough to want to further their training and sign up for a future 4 day training event I’d put together.

This should have been a no-brainer. I was speaking in my own home town, to an audience that was already familiar with the amount of houses I’d flipped. For months before this first speaking gig, many people had already said they wanted to learn from me, so I thought for sure that getting them to attend (and pay for) a future event would be easy.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

At the end of the presentation, I informed the audience of a 4 day training event I’d be doing a month later right in our home town - so they didn’t even have to travel to attend. I literally got a standing ovation from all of the information I shared.

They all knew what I was teaching about my business was legit because I had sold houses to many of the people in the room. And yet, when I finished presenting, absolutely nothing happened. I didn’t get one single signup. No one person … no event tickets sold. I stood there at the back of the room like an idiot waiting for people to sign up and no one did.

I was completely crushed. Devastated. I felt like the biggest loser on earth.

I’d seen other speakers come do what I thought I’d just done, and seen them clean house with signups. And I’m not trying to be arrogant, but I knew, even though I was a nervous wreck speaking, that what I shared was more relevant and better content than most of those speakers.

And yet no one signed up.

What I didn’t realize at the time is that teaching and selling are two entirely different things.
That being said, at the time I had a bad taste in my mouth about “selling” because so many of the speakers I’d seen who were “selling” made me want to throw up watching them.

Selling felt fake, cold, staged and icky to me. And yet I struggled with this because I really felt that if they would just come learn from me, I could legitimately show them some things that would really help benefit their lives and businesses.

As much as I wanted to give up, (and almost did) I knew just I couldn’t.

My first few years of speaking were a lot like that first experience. I was learning from my mistakes, and continuing to make a lot of them. I thank God to this day so many people kept giving me second chances even though I repeatedly failed. That first few years was tough, and I also wasn’t making any money learning that way.

Fast forward 17 years.

Today, I’ve had the privilege of learning so much from that pain. I’ve since sold more than 8 figures of product, training and coaching from stage, webinars, presentations, podcasts, coaching and masterminds. I’ve had the privilege of speaking on some of the biggest, most well respected stages in the country.

I had to drastically change what I was doing, and what I my limiting beliefs were about sales.

Today I have a very different belief. I genuinely feel that if you have a product or service that is REALLY good, (or even if you don’t have a product yet, but you believe you have something of value to offer the world) you owe it to yourself and to your audience to learn how to get them excited about becoming a part of it. You MUST learn to sell it.

Without the ability to sell, you have no business. You also have very limited influence.

At that first presentation, my inability to influence the audience to pull out their wallets and pay for my future event robbed me of the ability to really have an impact in their lives. It did this for two reasons.

First, it’s impossible to teach EVERYTHING you know in a 60 or 90 minute presentation. No matter how much I wanted to, it’s simply not possible to communicate to the audience everything I’ve learned in my business in that short of a time period. Certainly not to the point where the listeners could duplicate the results.

Second (and I also learned this the hard way,) if they didn’t actually pay for the training, product or service, the likelihood of them actually implementing what they’ve learned would be diminished by a factor of at least 100.

I initially hated the idea of “selling” so much that I tried to give away what I was teaching. The truth is though, even if you’re giving away something for free, you have to convey why they should even want your free stuff. No one wants free junk. (Even if I’m giving something away, I have to “sell” people on why they should even be interested in implementing what I have to give them. If I don’t, no one takes any action.)

That’s when I learned the fact that if I want to really make a difference in peoples’ lives, I have to learn to master the art and science of selling. I just didn’t want to do so in a way that made others feel “icky.” (myself included)

We all know that guy or gal…. the one that’s constantly “pushing” their stuff on you. The used car salesman approach. I’m not talking about that.

I’m talking about being able to convey your message in a way that doesn’t change who you are as a human being.

I’m talking about being yourself, but also knowing the strategy it takes to get people literally throwing their credit cards or cash at you, eager to be a part of whatever it is you’re offering them.

I’m talking about sharing your story in a way that inspires people to be a part of your tribe.

When you learn how to do this properly, you don’t have to feel bad about it - not one bit. If you really have a heart to help people, this is what it takes to help them. They must have some skin in the game, and if you do this correctly, not only will you be able to truly make an impact, you will also be handsomely rewarded as a result.

And the good news is, you don’t have to have any experience to pull this off. Heck, you don’t even need to have a product to sell yet. I’ll show you very specifically how to do this, even if you’re scared to death to speak.

I’ve taught everyone from the newbie with no experience to men and woman who’ve been speaking 20+ years and are already selling well. I don’t care how good you are, or think you are, you can always improve.

If this sounds like something you would like to master, I’d like for you to consider joining me and a very small handful of others to come to my home for my 2 day Speaker Training Workshop.

If I do this, this event will be very small, very intimate, (limited to just 8 people) and I’m going to keep it that way for a reason, so that we can dive deep with each of you and really hone in your message and your results.

By the way, this is far different than what I normally do. My last event like this had 122 people in the audience.

At the training, I’ll show you step step the exact formula I’ve used to not only get results like this for my own sales, but have been able to duplicate those results for some of the most respected names in our industry - all based around the art and science of selling from stage.

Some of the people that have attended this event over the years were newbies when I first started working with them. Some had been speakers far longer than me. Their results, however, speak for themselves.

Of course, this training also translates to sales of all kinds - one on one sales, selling on webinars, writing sales copy, podcast interviews.

But here’s what you’re not going to get from me.

What I won’t do is fill you up with a bunch of fluff. There will be no mind manipulation, no NLP (Nuero Linguistic Programming), no hype, no “say exactly this exactly how I tell you to say it,” no garbage…

…and I’ll never tell you that you need to become someone other than who you already are.

What I will teach you, however, is how to unleash even more of who you are in a way that empowers your audience and transfers enough enthusiasm to get them to act, act immediately, and become a part of your product, your coaching, your software, your “done for you service” or whatever other service you’re offering that can positively impact their lives.

If this sounds like you and you’re the type of person that does not want to spend years failing like I did - and you’d like to sleep well at night knowing you’re greatly and positively impacting the lives of others while making a killer income doing so, here’s what I want you to do next:

Step 1: Comment below with “tell me more.”
Step 2: If we decide to work with each other, since this is such a small event, I’ll even let you help me pick the dates so there’s no scheduling conflicts.

(I have a process for that and it’s simple. All you have to do is decide to come, and I’ll show you the rest.)

That’s it.

And if you know other people in which this fits the bill, share this to your FB page as well.

Finally, if you have questions that need answers before making a decision, reach out to me with a private message and you and we will schedule a time to chat. This conversation will be with me personally and won’t be outsourced to some dude who doesn’t speak english.

Last thought: Whether you get this kind of training from me or anywhere else, if you’re truly wanting to impact people and grow your business, you’d better get serious about learning the art and science of speaking and selling. The quality of other peoples’ lives are depending on it.

When you do, however, make sure you get training from someone who is already doing it better than you. Horrible advice and training is always available, but comes with a significantly higher price tag in the long run.

Hope to see you there.

THE WORLD'S FIRST BILLIONAIRE

John D. Rockfeller (July 8, 1839–May 23, 1937), the founder of Standard Oil, was once the richest man in the world. He was the world’s first billionaire.

"He amassed a net worth of at least $1 billion in 1916. When Rockefeller died in 1937, his net worth was estimated to be approximately $340 billion in today's dollars."

By the age of 25, he had one of the largest oil refineries in the United States. He was 31 when he became the world's largest oil refiner. At 38, he controlled 90% of the oil refined in the United States. At fifty, John was America's richest man. As a young man, every action, attitude, and connection was crafted to establish his wealth.

But at the age of 53, he fell unwell. His entire body became wracked with pain, and he lost all his hair. In total anguish, the world's lone millionaire could buy anything he wanted but could only eat soup and crackers.

According to an associate, "He couldn't sleep, wouldn't smile, and nothing in life meant anything to him". His personal, highly trained physicians indicated that he would die within the year. That year passed painfully slowly. As he approached death, he awoke one morning with the faint understanding that he would not be able to bring any of his fortune with him to the next world.

The man who could dominate the commercial world suddenly realised he had no control over his personal life. He informed his solicitors, accountants, and management that he intended to devote his assets to hospitals, research, and charity work. John D. Rockefeller started his foundation.

The Rockefeller Foundation financed Howard Florey and his colleague Norman Heatley's penicillin research in 1941. But arguably the most astounding aspect of Rockefeller's narrative is that when he began to give back a fraction of all he had gained, his body's chemistry changed dramatically, and he recovered.

He was expected to die at the age of 53, but he survived to reach 98 years old. Rockefeller learnt gratitude and returned the great bulk of his money. This made him whole. It's one thing to be healed. It is another to become fit. He was a devout Baptist who attended the Euclid Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

Before he died, he wrote in his diary: "God taught me that everything belongs to Him, and I am merely a conduit to carry out His will. My life has been one long, happy holiday since then; full of work and play, I let go of my worries along the road, and God was wonderful to me every day.

It's not very often that something like this becomes available, however, I have one opening available in my Leadership Boardroom coaching/mastermind group.

If you're not familiar, this is a small group of very high level business owners. Some are national speakers, some are coaches, some are real estate investors. Everyone in the group is a leader in some way, and the group is all about iron sharpening iron. There is nothing else like it on the planet that I'm aware of.

If you've ever been in a high level mastermind environment, you probably already understand the power of being in a room of credible and experienced leaders, all there to share their best secrets, strategies and practices that helped to get them from where they were to where they are today.

Likewise, if you've ever had a personal one on one coach for any reason, (a sports coach, an impactful teacher, a mentor) you probably understand the power of having another experienced human being who cares for you immensely, focused solely on helping you to get from where you are currently are to where you ultimately want to be.

Over the course of my life, I've had the privilege of experiencing both of these things, and they have shaped and molded me into the business owner, father, husband, national speaker, author and coach I am today. That being said, never before have I been able to experience the power of both of these combined together in one environment.

The Leadership Boardroom combines the best of both of these growth strategies to deliver what many consider the best of the best personal and business improvement environments available. I know... bold statement, right? I don't say that lightly.

I limit this group to no more than 15 brilliant, hand selected people. Not only do I personally coach each member, we also physically meetup 3X per year in a mastermind environment. Each and every member has been personally selected and extensively interviewed to ensure an atmosphere of outstanding leaders in life and industry, all dedicated to massive growth in both business and personal endeavors.

I'm insanely particular about who I allow to be a part of the Boardroom, recognizing that a large portion of the value received is determined by those who have been allowed to become a part of it.

That being said, if you are a leader and feel you can benefit from an environment like this, send me a private message and we'll set up a time to discuss. You should know that this boardroom environment is not cheap, but nothing of value that delivers real world results ever is.

Lastly, if you know others that may have interest in something like this, please share this post. Thanks all!
