Fall Armyworm Identification information!

We have been talking a lot about Fall Armyworms lately....so just how do we identify one? Here are some tips and pictures to help you identify Fall Armyworms! Reach out to your local L&F agent with any questions!

Planning for cool season grazing starts now! Get in your soil samples and make a plan for the fall/winter!

🍂As temperatures begin to cool, South Carolina livestock producers are transitioning from warm-season pastures to fall and winter forage. A little planning now can help extend the grazing season and reduce reliance on hay.

*Equine owners--some cool season annuals, such as clover, can cause issues in horses. Please contact your local L&F agent to discuss species to plant for equine grazing! 🍂

Current weather conditions have created favorable conditions for an active Fall Armyworm season, and many producers have already begun scouting their hay fields and pastures.
