⚡ Storms can roll in fast. A little preparation now can help you avoid bigger electrical problems later.
Before the next round of Missouri weather, take a few minutes to:
✅ Secure generators properly
✅ Know where your electrical panel is located
✅ Stay away from downed power lines
✅ Check your service mast and meter for storm damage
✅ Call a professional if you notice damaged wiring or equipment
Stay safe, stay prepared, and never take chances with electrical damage after a storm.

Today, we remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and our freedom.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a reminder that our everyday moments, freedoms, and time with family were made possible by those who sacrificed it all.
May we honor them not only with words, but by living grateful, meaningful lives.

🔧⚡ Help us congratulate our IEC Apprentice of the Month, proudly powered by Milwaukee Tool!
This month, we’re recognizing Edvin for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the electrical trade. As a 4th year apprentice, Edvin continues to lead by example both in the classroom and on the jobsite.
Edvin is training with Birkel Electric, where he is building the skills, knowledge, and work ethic that make our industry stronger every day.
Congratulations, Edvin! Your IEC family is proud of what you’ve accomplished, and we’re excited to watch what’s ahead as you continue your journey toward becoming a licensed electrician.
⚡ The future of the electrical industry is bright.

Today in Washington, D.C., the voice of the independent contractor was heard loud and clear. Representing the Independent Electrical Contractors Greater St Louis - Heartland, we had the opportunity to meet with the offices of Eric Schmitt, Josh Hawley, and Ann Wagner to advocate for the hardworking men and women who power this country—and the small businesses that keep our communities moving.
From workforce development and apprenticeship opportunities to fair competition, energy policy, and cutting unnecessary red tape, these conversations matter. Independent tradesmen and small business owners deserve a seat at the table, and today we made sure their voices were represented.
We’re not just building electrical systems… we’re building the future of American skilled trades—one conversation, one policy, and one opportunity at a time. ⚡🇺🇸
