Athletic Director Joe Bongiovanni, RAA, Makes an International Impact!

Austin Catholic High School Athletic Director Joe Bongiovanni, RAA, recently served as an official at the World Wheelchair Rugby World Championships in Brazil (Olimpíadas Especiais Brasil).

Austin Catholic is incredibly proud of Joe and his accomplishments, especially the time, talent and dedication he gives to our school community.

His commitment to serving others and supporting student-athletes is an outstanding example of the Augustinian values we strive to live each day.

Gavin and Cassidy Bowers, students at Austin Catholic High School, gave us plenty to be proud of with their effort, character and dedication at Thursday’s Early Bird Invitational.

We’re equally proud of the coaching and leadership of Mrs. Mary Brown, whose guidance continues to help these student-athletes grow and succeed. It was a special day to celebrate the Bowers family, Austin Catholic and the work behind the scenes that makes moments like these.

Coach Glodich Is Published Again! 📚

We are proud to celebrate another accomplishment by Austin Catholic coach and educator Ron Glodich!

A legacy of athletics!

Austin Catholic High School holds a legacy so rich in athletic history that it remains relevant today. Among its most celebrated alumni is Dave DeBusschere, Class of 1958, who helped lead the New York Knicks to NBA championships in 1970 and 1973.

More than five decades later, the Knicks once again reached the pinnacle of professional basketball, defeating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the 2026 NBA Finals on June 13. The victory secured New York's first NBA championship in 53 years. The Knicks' last championship came in 1973, when DeBusschere was a key member of the title-winning team, making the franchise's long-awaited return to glory especially meaningful for the Austin Catholic community.

Austin Catholic High School proudly celebrates its connection to DeBusschere, whose excellence as an athlete, leader and ambassador for the game continues to inspire generations of Crusaders. His remarkable legacy remains a lasting source of pride for the Austin Catholic family.
