Students in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties with proof of low income are eligible for free school supplies and books through Operation: Kid Equip on Aug. 18 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Seminole Academy, 1500 Mulberry Street in Mt. Clemens. Students must be present to receive the materials.

Operation: Kid Equip will be hosting Backpackpalooza 2012 in Mt. Clemens. The free backpack distribution will be August 18, 11 AM til 2 PM, at Seminole Academy.
