Need a job after graduation? How about an internship or co-op for next year?
Our Office of Career Design and Development hosts a number of on-campus career fairs throughout the academic year to directly connect students with employers looking to hire.
At a recent Widener School of Business Administration - SBA career fair, 30+ employers set up in Lathem Hall to meet with students and share more about their organizations. From Vanguard, to the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Union, to smaller and family-owned entities, all areas of the business field were represented for students looking to jumpstart their search.
Career fairs are also a space where students can develop professional skills, increase confidence & make lasting connections.
Sophomore Marquell Perry, an economics major, attended the SBA fair. He wasn’t initially planning to attend, but his roommate gave him the encouragement to go and he’s glad he did.
“If you don’t have time, make time. I had some really good conversations and picked up some possible opportunities for over the summer. Any opportunity can be the opportunity. That’s the main takeaway I got.” ~ Marquell Perry ’29
Other planned fairs this year include graduate professional studies, civil engineering & construction management, nursing, general engineering and criminal justice.
Career fairs are free & open to all students to attend, regardless of major or class year.
