Inventive drama for young minds...and the people who nurture them.

Twice a year, students and director, Lisa Eckley Cocchiarale, come together to perform a children's play for the children around the Chester community. Our shows are always about 50 minutes long, and FREE, though we take donations--all proceeds go to Bernardine Center food pantry.

Hope is the thing with feathers, as Emily Dickinson reminds us.

While FreshBaked Theatre Co. of Widener University has a long tradition of on campus performances for local children, this semester we are bringing interactive drama workshops to Chester schools. We explore the myth of Pandora's Box, and how Hope hides in unexpected places.

Bravo on our opening school workshop with local 3rd, 4th. &:5th graders. A highlight was naming our fears and "locking" them away (and bringing them to live through creative movement). Flying the Hope Bird was also special! Thanks to teachers & staff for welcoming us! (special thanks to @shanpshare for your support)

If YOU had a box like Pandora & Epimethius, what fear or Trouble would YOU lock inside? 04/11/2026
