📚 Back-to-School Reminder!

Don’t forget to take advantage of Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday (August 7–9) to save on eligible school supplies, clothing, and shoes.

School supply lists for all grade levels, including DLI students, are available online. If you prefer a printed copy, you’re welcome to stop by the school office Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. during summer break.

We're sharing a community Back to School Bash 🎒 ✏️ 📝

Get ready for the new school year at our Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 8! 🏫🎒📚

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Beulah Recreation Center, all students K-12 can receive free backpacks, school supplies and haircuts. Enjoy free crafts, games, activities, food and more to help make the 2026-2027 school year one of the best ever!

This event is free and for students ages 5 to 17 years old.

It's almost time to head back to school! Be sure to attend Elizabeth Scott Elementary's Orientation on Thursday, August 20, 2026, to meet your child's teacher, learn important information for the upcoming school year, and drop off school supplies.

🍎 Kindergarten 🕙 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

📚 Grades 1–5 🔹 Last Names A–L: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. 🔹 Last Names M–Z: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Dear Summer School Staff and Families,

Summer School will be back in session on Tuesday July 7th, 2026. We apologize for the cancellation on Monday and have worked tirelessly to repair the school's air conditioning system. We look forward to seeing all of our students back in class Tuesday morning.

Dear Summer School Staff and Families,

Due to an unexpected issue with the school's air conditioning system, summer school at Elizabeth Scott Elementary School will be closed on Monday, July 6, 2026. With the extreme heat the last few days and the forecasted hot conditions to start the week, we are unable to safely operate the building without a functioning cooling system.

Our facilities team is working as quickly as possible to repair the air conditioning, and we hope to reopen summer school as soon as the repairs are complete.

We understand this disruption may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for our students and staff.
