Mission Statement
Harrowgate Elementary PTA is a nonprofit parent/teacher organization whose membership includes parents, legal guardians, and staff at Harrowgate Elementary School. The PTA's mission is to establish a close relationship between home and school by advancing the opportunity for all parents to become involved in the Harrowgate Elementary community. The PTA’s goals include:
Raising fu

nds for supplemental educational materials and experiences by using:
Fundraisers
Spirit Nights
Sponsoring children and teachers for:
Classroom material
After-school program scholarships
Supporting school and family social interaction by hosting:
Annual Festivals
Annual Fitness nights
And more! It is our belief that the team effort of a parent/teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children. You can reach the PTA with any questions by emailing [email protected]
Membership
Join the PTA! Show your support by joining Harrowgate PTA membership is only $6 per person, or two for $10. Volunteers
The PTA is always looking for volunteers. We need volunteers for everything including our annual festival and fitness night, movie nights, spirit nights, fundraiser distribution, after-school programs, and much more. Contact PTA by emailing [email protected]. Reminders
We need Box Tops for Education, Campbell’s labels. Don’t wait until you have a bunch! Send them in as you get them. We often run into expired coupons. Expired coupons = wasted income.

Ingredients

Apple Crisp
For the Apple Filling
10 cups Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored and sliced into ⅛ inch thick slices then cut the slices in half)
½ cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crisp Topping
1 ⅓ cups quick cooking oats
1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted

Apple Fritter Loaf
Apple Cinnamon Filling
🍞1 cup small-diced apples, approximately 1 large Gala peeled, cored & diced
🍞¼ cup light brown sugar
🍞1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
🍞2 teaspoons apple pie spice blend

Batter
🍞1¾ cups all-purpose flour
🍞1 teaspoon baking powder
🍞½ teaspoon baking soda
🍞½ teaspoon salt
🍞½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
🍞¾ cup granulated sugar
🍞1 large egg, room temperature
🍞2 teaspoons vanilla extract
🍞¾ cup buttermilk

Glaze
🍞1½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
🍞2 tablespoons heavy cream

Vintage Applesauce Cake Recipe

🍰½ cup milk
🍰1 cup raisins
🍰2 cups flour
🍰2 teaspoons baking powder
🍰1 teaspoon baking soda
🍰1 teaspoon cinnamon

🍰½ teaspoon nutmeg

🍰½ cup butter, softened
🍰1 cup sugar

🍰1 cup walnuts, chopped

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting
🍰8 ounces cream cheese
🍰½ cup butter, softened
🍰3 cups powdered sugar
🍰2 tablespoons heavy cream
🍰1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🍰½ teaspoon cinnamon
🍰¼ teaspoon salt

Caramel Apple Pie Bombs
🍎1 cup granulated sugar
🍎2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
🍎7.5 ounces biscuits
🍎21 ounces apple pie filling
🍎10 caramels cut in ½ longways (individually wrapped)
🍎vegetable oil for frying
🍎caramel sundae topping, optional
