Our Hawthorne Christian Academy faculty and administration recently attended the Southeast Christian School Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was an incredible conference filled with professional growth, uplifting worship, and meaningful fellowship alongside more than 1,800 Christian school educators from NC, SC, GA, and FL.

Our team participated in dozens of educational sessions and keynote presentations designed to enhance classroom learning and spiritual growth. We are especially proud of Mr. Chris Cassady, who served as a workshop presenter. Mr. Cassady shared insights on integrating model rocketry into middle school science curricula, showcasing one of HCA’s innovative approaches to STEM education.

Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for your relentless dedication, commitment, and passion for Christian education. We are so blessed by you!

Hands-on learning in action! Hawthorne's Culinary class recently visited Food Lion to put their meal planning module into practice. Students took ownership of the entire process: creating balanced meal plans, developing itemized grocery lists, and shopping within a set budget. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Food Lion staff for their support and valuable industry insights during the visit!

Over 300 grandparents and students attended the Grandparents Breakfast on Friday! It was a wonderful event and a delicious breakfast of bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits, eggs, grits, and french toast. Thank you to our faithful volunteers, staff, and AACS Honor Society for helping bring the Hawthorne family together for such a beautiful time of food and fellowship.

Hawthorne is thankful for all of the volunteers who helped make our annual Thorn Trail Cross Country Race a great success! Six teams from Fairfield Central High School, Grace Christian School, Great Falls High School, Lancaster Christian Academy, Lewisville High School, and Midlands STEM joined Hawthorne to compete in our 3.2 mile home course. In addition to great competition among the teams, First Free Will Baptist Church members prepared delicious food for sale as a fundraiser. It was a great afternoon of camaraderie and cooperation in our community.
