Coach Wightman has HCA's Cross Country team working hard as they prepare for the upcoming season. The next race is Tuesday, August 25th at Lancaster High School beginning at 5:30 PM. Go Hawks!

Last week, one of Hawthorne Christian Academy's Alumni, Tyson Bryan visited the church and school and took some amazing photos and footage of the campus with his commercial drone. Tyson does freelance work for realtors and property owners and is available at reasonable rates. He received his FAA Drone License through his coursework at HCA. We will be using more footage for future projects, but we had to share this one in particular. God has truly blessed us with beautiful property and facilities here at FFWBC, and we are so thankful for all He is doing in our community!

Hawthorne had an incredible first week of school! We kicked things off with Open House, teacher training, and three great days with our students. Our faculty and staff are thrilled to welcome everyone back on campus as we dive into our theme for the year: "Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly."

The faculty and staff are excited for the new school year to begin tomorrow! After a great open house last night, we are thankful for all of the new and existing families that will be with us this year! Please be sure to stop by the church lobby in the morning beginning at 7:15 AM to take your first day of school pictures at our photo arch.

One of the greatest blessings that Hawthorne students have is to attend Chapel on a weekly basis. In addition to daily Bible class and Christian curriculum with a biblical worldview, students have the opportunity to worship and grow in the Lord as a community of believers. HCA has created a schedule of services for the fall semester. Parents are encouraged to attend at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary on the dates listed unless otherwise noted. Please begin praying for the Lord to move in the hearts and minds of our young people as they seek His will.

Hawthorne's Cross Country team will be having their first run of the season this Saturday at 7:30 AM in Chester at Pineview Lakes Road. This community 5K run is a great way to start the season and is open to all ages on the team. Coach Daniel Wightman has been working with the runners over the summer and is excited about the new year. The public is welcome to come out and support our Hawks!

Exciting News from Hawthorne Christian Academy!

Due to recent growth, we have officially expanded and separated our combined K5/1st grade into two dedicated classes. Because of this expansion, we now have a few additional openings available in our Kindergarten (K5) class for the upcoming school year!

Exciting news for our Hawthorne family! We are getting closer and closer to our new Greenhouse goal! Thanks to another generous $1,100 in donations—plus some great cost reductions—we have officially hit the 50% mark!

This greenhouse will make a huge impact on our students, giving them hands-on opportunities to conduct experiments and learn year-round.
