Dear Crossroads and K-Club Families,

With a heavy heart I write to inform you that the Holy Trinity Weekday Schools Board has voted to suspend our Crossroads and K-Club programs until further notice. This is not an easy decision and we did not come to this decision lightly. After careful consideration of the CDC and PA State guidelines to reopen safely, running our programs at this time is not feasible.

The driving factors for our decision are:
• Concerns for the health and safety of our staff, students, and their families.
• The ability to adequately staff our programs in the event of illness (staffing is a general concern across all education platforms).
• The physical limitations of our facilities regarding space and ventilation.
People, both staff and families, have been and continue to be our priority. We recognize the incredible stress the upcoming school year brings to our families and the community because of the pandemic.

Please allow us time to process the refund of any deposits that have already been made. We will continue to evaluate the situation and the board is committed to reviewing possibilities for opening in the spring. Our goal is to open for the 2021-2022 school year.

Dear Holy Trinity Preschool Families,

With a heavy heart I write to inform you that the Holy Trinity Weekday Schools Board has voted to suspend our Preschool program for the 2020-2021 academic year. After careful consideration of the CDC and PA State guidelines to reopen safely, we did not feel we could meet the high expectations Holy Trinity Preschool has delivered for the past 50 years.

Preschool is hands on, social based learning environment. Children of preschool age would find it challenging to sit at a table for 2+ hours with limited access to our various interactive curriculums and play things. These children are just learning about autonomy, personal space, and how to play together, the building blocks of a strong preschool program. In addition to challenges inside the classroom, outdoor play and learning will also be impacted by the new protocols we would have to enforce, further lessening a fulfilling preschool experience. Gross motor is essential for development and outside time would be difficult.

Please allow us time to process the refund of any deposits that have already been made. Although we have spent many hours examining the scenarios of what the 2020-21 school year may look like, the
realization that suspending our preschool for this year brings new challenges that will take time to successfully navigate.

If you live in Nether Providence TWP, please read for important information.

3/29/20 update: In the interest of protecting our residents from Covid-19, Nether Providence, in coordination with Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, is closing all recreational equipment within our public spaces, schools and parks. Township parks and outdoor public spaces themselves will remain open.

What Does This Mean for You?
• NOT ALLOWED: No one may use the playgrounds within our parks, schools, and houses of worship. All public playgrounds are now closed.
• NOT ALLOWED: No one may play basketball, tennis (or any paddle sport), baseball and football in any park, school, or place of worship.
• ALLOWED: All, non-contact uses of Township parks for exercise, recreation, or any other reason. Please remember to keep 6 feet between you (or your kids) and anyone else using that park who is not within your household.

These prohibitions take effect immediately. Until retracted, they apply to all public playgrounds at Township parks, school district facilities, recreational facilities, and houses of worship.

Pennsylvania’s Early Intervention Program (Infant/Toddler and Preschool) wants to hear from families about their experience with Early Intervention. Families whose children are receiving Early Intervention Services can respond to the survey now through June 30, 2020.
