This month, we're grateful to recognize Jessi Feoli '21, member of the Widener Alumni Council, whose passion for giving back continues to make a meaningful impact across the Widener community. Inspired by the generosity she experienced as a student, Jessi now volunteers her time to strengthen alumni connections and help create meaningful opportunities for the next generation of Widener students.
When asked, "What has staying connected to Widener given you that you didn't expect?"
Jessi shared:
"Truly, an endless sense of energy and purpose. Every time I step foot on campus, I feel just as energized and invigorated as I did as an undergrad. While you might expect being an alum to just be about professional networking, it has given me a community where I'm constantly inspired to pay it forward."
That desire to pay it forward has been at the heart of Jessi's Widener journey. As a student, the generosity of a Widener alumnus made a life-changing study abroad experience possible—one that sparked a passion for global learning and helped shape the path she's on today. Now, through her service on the Alumni Council, Jessi is helping ensure today's students and tomorrow's alumni have opportunities to connect, grow, and create meaningful experiences of their own.
How has another Widener alum inspired your journey? We'd love to hear your story in the comments below!

We're grateful to recognize Patton Vo '15, Associate Vice Chair of the Widener Alumni Council and Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Penn State Brandywine, for his continued leadership, service, and dedication to the Widener community. From his days as an engaged student leader to his ongoing involvement as an alumnus and volunteer, Patton has always embraced what it means to stay connected and give back.
When asked, "What's a small moment from your time at Widener that you'll never forget?"
Patton shared: "While it wasn't exactly a small moment, being named Homecoming King is something I'll never forget. Standing on that field, surrounded by friends, classmates, and a community that had shaped me, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging. It wasn't about a crown—it was a reflection of the relationships, involvement, and experiences that made Widener feel like home. Even years later, it reminds me how special the Widener community truly is."
That sense of belonging has stayed with Patton long after graduation. Today, he continues to invest in Widener through his leadership on the Alumni Council, helping strengthen connections among alumni and ensuring future generations experience the same community that made such a lasting impact on him.
What's one Widener memory that reminds you why Widener felt like home? We'd love to hear your story in the comments below!

We’re thankful for Jessica Single ’16, Secretary of the Widener Alumni Council and Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, whose Widener experience was shaped by meaningful connections and lasting friendships.
“I’ll never forget being only a knock on the door away from friends who became family. Those late-night conversations and spontaneous moments were something truly special—and I’m grateful those friendships continue to this day over a decade later.”
Her reflection is a wonderful reminder that one of the most special parts of the Widener experience is the connections we carry with us long after graduation.
