To strengthen skills solving literal equations for various variables, students in Ms. Matthew’s math classes created name posters! Check them out outside of Ms. Matthew’s classroom.

Thank you VCU for such an informative tour and visit! Carver Academy 11th and 12th grade students had a great time learning about all that VCU has to offer!!

Mr. Woodby's students canoed on the James River and investigated different ecosystems, tides, and native plants. They observed multiple great blue herons, cormorants, vultures, and a bald eagle nest!

Field trip fun! Students in Mr. Woodby's science classes tested water quality from the James River at Deep Bottom Park. They tested phosphate levels, turbidity, temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen.

Congratulations to Carver Academy’s October Wolverines of the Month: Christina Pelter and Jolene Douglas! Both students were presented with a certificate and two movie tickets! Keep up the great work!

It's time for our annual dodgeball tournament! Who will be the champions this year? Registration has started. Make sure you get on a team!

Success at Carver Academy tastes like PIZZA thanks to Dante's of Ironbridge! On Friday, we celebrated students who earned Distinguished Honor Roll (all A's), A/B Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, and Excellent Attendance (2 or fewer absences) for the first marking period. All students receiving these awards were provided pizza and certificates. Well done Wolverines! Keep up the great work!

Students in Mrs. Anderson's forensic bio class took hands-on learning to a whole new level today by completing a basic fingerprinting lab to learn how to identify fingerprint patterns!

Ms. Holcombe's geometry classes used pipe cleaners, rulers, and protractors to investigate triangle side lengths today!

Graduation is the Goal from Day One

Did you know that attendance is one of the primary indicators of student academic achievement? Each Wolverine has a goal of missing 2 or less days each month because absences quickly add up!

Today we celebrated 73 students who received perfect attendance for the month of September by providing donuts! Great work Wolverines!
