Good news this morning!

Scarlett Lewis and James Kimmel Jr., author of The Science of Revenge, have shared a powerful message at school safety conferences: understanding the root motive behind bullying and school shootings and, more importantly, how to prevent them.

This perspective is reshaping the conversation around school safety and violence prevention, offering hope through education, connection, and compassion.

"Forgiveness isn't weakness. It's a combination of wonder drug and human superpower, an inexhaustible ocean of relief. And it's free, without a doctor or a prescription, available anywhere, anytime, manufactured and dispensed inside your own brain." —James Kimmel, Jr.

“Forgiveness does not require pardon, reconciliation, or staying in unsafe relationships; it can be an internal act of healing.” – James Kimmel Jr

Once again James Kimmel Jr, author of the book "The Science of Revenge" shows how science supports forgiveness as the ultimate healing tool in this podcast:

Do you fantasize about revenge? At seventeen, James Kimmel Jr. came within seconds of committing a mass shooting. He drove away and spent his life learning why we crave it and how to let it go. Full episode out now!🎧

One of our founders, Det. Steven McDonald, was injured 40 years ago and turned that injury into a triumph - his life touched literally thousands of people with the message of forgiveness.

Today Patti Ann and Capt Conor McDonald attended Roll Call at the Central Park Pct.
This was the Pct Det. Steven McDonald was working at on 7-12-1986 when he was severely wounded while making an arrest. Please keep Steven and The McDonald Family in your thoughts and prayers on this 40th Anniversary.
The Det Steven McDonald Men’s Prayer Group will do the same.
