Important Announcement:
Following the SC Governor’s mandatory closure of public schools (PreK-12) and request for private schools and daycares to close temporarily, Little Nest will be closed Monday, March 16th-Tuesday, March 31st. We believe this is in the best interest of the health and safety of our children, families, and staff. We will keep you updated as more information arises.

Scholastic has created a free resource with Preschool Lessons for families to utilize at home during this time. Thank you to our families for always being understanding when we make these hard decisions.

Little Nest will also operate on a 3 hour delay, and will open at 10:00am. Breakfast will not be served. As always, we follow the Chester County School District’s decisions on inclement weather, so we will also follow CCSD if they have further closings.

Following CCSD, Little Nest is also closed today.

In collaboration with Emergency Management and SCDOT, Chester County School District will be closed Friday, February 7, 2020. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our students and staff after surveying roads within the county due to flooding, down trees and the high wind gust that are predicted for today.

Monday, February 17, 2020 will be the make-up day.

We will also operate on a 2 hour delay and open at 9. We will watch for CCSD’s update on any further changes.

After surveying the current conditions of many roads within the county due to flooding in the area, Chester County School District will operate under a two-hour delay for all students and staff members on Friday, February 7, 2020. Buses will operate on this delayed schedule.

To help ensure the safety of our students and staff, our team will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the night and into the morning to determine if any further schedule changes are needed.

If a further adjustment to Friday's schedule is needed, it will be announced no later than 6:30 a.m. through our regular channels, including phone calls, email, and social media posts.

Little Nest is looking to hire a part-time floater.
Candidates should be dependable, nurturing, patient, punctual, work well with others and have a full understanding that early childcare education is not babysitting.
Must be able to follow instructions and set curriculum.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 6 months experience working in a DSS licensed or approved childcare facility required.
Must pass a criminal background check and TB Test.

The boil water advisory will continue into Monday, 11/18, so Little Nest will be closed tomorrow as we await further updates from
CMD. Hopefully we will see you all Tuesday!

We are still waiting on an update from CMD on the status of the water testing. We will make a decision about tomorrow by 6pm today.

We have received word that the advisory will be in effect until at least Friday, 11/15. We will remain closed until the advisory is lifted.

Due to the fact that Chester County still remains under a boil water advisory, Little Nest will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13 and will remain closed until the advisory is lifted. Although CMD has recommended businesses and public schools use hand sanitizer and bottle water, SC childcare licensing regulations do not allow children for the ages we serve to use hand sanitizer. Our staff and children must be able to wash their hands to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

We do not use commercial dishwashers or have the capability to boil large amounts of water needed to prepare or handle food for our children.

The safety of our children and staff is always our main priority in all we do. We thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter.
