Get to know Fred McCall, our inaugural vice president of student engagement and transformation!

In a new Q&A, he shares what inspires him in his work centered around student engagement, advocacy & support, and what drew him to Widener.

“I am passionate about learning (college students’) stories and helping them achieve their personal and educational goals… I look forward to building strong connections with Widener students to learn from their stories and contribute to their Pride experience.” ~ Dr. Fred McCall

McCall, who also serves as dean of students, joined Widener on July 1.

He leads Student Engagement and Transformation at Widener, a new unit that includes the offices of Student Engagement, Student Living, Athletics and Pride Recreation, Well-being and Belonging, and Student and Campus Services. The unit is designed to spark innovation & enhance our holistic approach to student engagement.
