I was so touched to see 15 out of 25 of my kiddos at the Fly By Parade. Seeing each and every one of them got me so choked up I could barely contain the emotions as each one pulled up to where I was standing! And when each car pulled away and it hit me that I wasn’t able to embrace my kids like I would normally as a “goodbye” the tears continued to stream down my face! This year has been one that is embedded in my heart and mind for many obvious reasons BUT mostly because the love your kids have given me has been overwhelming! I KNOW each of them will have a hand in changing the world for the better because well, they are just that special! Here the “selfies” I took at the parade and know you guys aren’t done with me yet! At least one more “Family edition” of google hangout! ❤️

We had a virtual “yearbook signing” on our google hangout last night. Instead of writing sentiments in yearbooks we got to speak them “live”. It’s exactly what we needed last night as we begin the last week of school together. Truthfully-its what our world needs too. I am SO proud of how articulate my precious 10 year old students are with their feelings and words. They brought tears to my eyes to hear them speak words of love and affirmation to their classmates (aka their family).

It was a tight game of riddle playoffs. Team Chris ended in 1st place with 8/8. Whoop whoop! Teams Bella and Ro’Verto trailed behind with 7/8, and Team Phoenix rounded out with 6/8. SUPER proud of all of you! P.S. I promise in the future I won’t do anymore Apple software riddles. 🤣

It’s been super fun to see families interact and “think aloud” together. I can’t wait for our “DANCE off” next. I’m thinking we will continue all hangouts being “family style” because not only have I heard how much y’all enjoy it but also bc I just love serving not only your children but your family as a whole! Miss you & love you! ❤️

Parents-I just want to share with you how I’m feeling after our google hangout tonight...

My Sunday night google hangout with my class went FAMILY style!

I had 23 brain teasers and my kids were allowed to have help from their family. Picture this-I saw families all gathered on the couch, dads laying on the floor with their kids, moms lounging on their kid’s beds with them, warm embraces and affection between kids and parents, lots of laughing, puzzled looks between parents and kids, lots of “confused conversation” and at the end, parents sharing that they couldn’t wait for this SAME type of hangout next week. It literally made my heart skip a beat (ok more like 1,000 beats)....made tears well up in my eyes. I love and miss my students SO much and I just needed to see them with their families interacting, laughing, and just being together UNTIL I CAN BE WITH THEM AGAIN!

It felt like one big happy family tonight....all centered around OUR kids!!! I love all my kids and their families more than they will ever know!




Now-excuse me while I go to bed with a big smile and a full heart! ❤️🥰😍

Sunday night=our first class google hangout....made my heart happy to see your kids’ sweet faces and hear their voices again. Can’t wait to go on a virtual roller coaster and a virtual egg hunt next. We also have Chris who volunteered to take on the challenge of whether it is easier to drink from a straw when standing on your hands upside down. Can’t wait to hear his report! Making the best of what we have. They begged me to have hangouts twice a week so I guess that’s the plan 🥰
