There’s something special about the work of childhood in the fall. 🍂
A child gathering fallen leaves is practicing so much more than raking. Each movement builds coordination, each opportunity to contribute develops independence, and each completed task brings a sense of accomplishment.
In Montessori, caring for the environment is part of caring for the community. Even the simplest seasonal routines give children the opportunity to take responsibility, develop confidence, and experience the satisfaction of meaningful work.
