Enrichment offerings for the 2024/25 school year:
๐Small Circle Book Club
2nd-4th grade students will explore various chapter books that are inclusive of reading levels and interests. In each 1.5 hr session we will read in a featured book, and complete reflection activities that match the theme of each lesson. As we read, students will dive deep into story elements and comprehension skills. They will make connections, learn new vocabulary, reinforce phonics, work on writing, and practice strategies that build fluency as they develop their own expressive โreaderโs voice.โ Students will enjoy a shared snack (provided) and have support in completing HW assignments. Class will be held on Tuesdays after school till 5:40pm.
๐Homework Club
1st-5th graders will gather for a read aloud, shared snack, and supported reading/HW time. Each week students will take part in game centers and team-building activties with peers. Featured baking opportunities, nature walks/outside activities, science experiments, and seasonal projects/crafts are included! We will meet on Thursdays after school till 5:40pm.
