Apparently it’s National Dog Day, so obviously Cupcake Eugene Palsgrove requires his own post. 😂🐾
A brief history of the world’s most adorable service dog:
1️⃣ Started out precious, curious, people-obsessed and scary smart—with approximately 4,000 tiny razor blades in his mouth.
2️⃣ Proud of himself for another year of being Cupcake. Of course he is. 😊
3️⃣ He HATES the raincoat. He tolerates it because I’m the boss. The side-eye suggests he disputes that last sentence.
4️⃣ Those eyes mean one thing: snacks. Not a snack. All the snacks.
5️⃣ Dress to impress. The dog is a diva.
6️⃣ But when that vest goes on? Faithful. Attentive. Obedient. Confident. Fearless. He even showed this lion who was the alpha. 🦁
7️⃣ Off duty: affectionate nap enthusiast, professional cuddler and petty thief specializing in shoes, socks, baby toys, napkins and, occasionally, actual cash.
8️⃣ Loves tug, hide-and-seek and fetch—although his version of fetch is “you throw it, I acquire it, transaction complete.”
9️⃣ And this. ❤️
He’s my comfort on hard days, my delight on good ones and my constant companion. He gives me independence and confidence out in the world that I wouldn’t have without him.
He makes me laugh every single day. He has radically changed my quality of life and filled my heart with an absolutely ridiculous amount of joy.
