We are awakening to the same country we fell asleep to. The very same country, so regroup and let's move on.
And when you see me, do not ask me, 'what do we do now? How do we get through the next four years?' The ancestors dealt with at least 400 years of much worse under abhorrent conditions.
So instead of lamenting the present, continue to do the good work. Continue to build bridges, not walls.
Continue to lead with compassion.
Continue the demanding work of liberation for all.
Continue to dismantle broken systems, large and small.
Continue to set the best example by being the best example for ourselves, for others, for our children.
Continue to be a vessel of nourishing, restorative joy because that's who you are, that's who we are.
Continue to make a difference right where you live and work and play. Do you, be you in the name of The Creator who expects nothing less from each of us.
And if you are not able to be a light in darkness in community, partnership and collaboration at this moment, take some deep breaths, remember who you are and what you stand for, know that you are still you, reclaim your joy and your purpose and get back to it, because there is still work to do. Are you up for the challenge? If not you, who and if not now.........when? Borrowed and re-worded in part. You are welcome to do the same for those that need to hear this.
