Throwback to some end-of-year fun in Ms. Looney and Ms. Jones' classes. Our amazing student Hornets put their critical thinking and communication skills to the test while testing out our brand new indi bots. We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills shown by our students as they wrapped up the year. It is always a great day to be a Hornet. 💜🤖

What is one new skill your child loved learning at Treakle this year? 🐝

Yesterday we said a bittersweet goodbye to our amazing 5th graders as they head off to middle school! We are so proud of the resilience and determination they have shown during their time at Treakle Elementary. We know these Hornets are destined for big things, and we cannot wait to see what they accomplish next!

Ms. Looney’s 5th grade Hornets just wrapped up an incredible research project on countries around the world! From tasting virtual treats in Italy and Portugal to exploring daily life in Sweden, Australia, and Ireland, these students learned so much. Take a look at the photo to see their fantastic travel posters gathered together! Which country would you want to visit first? ✈️

Our youngest Hornets finished out their first year of kindergarten! We celebrated their wonderful growth and achievements this morning. A special thank you goes out to our incredible teachers, assistants, and families for supporting them every step of the way. We are so proud of our little learners! 💜

Our Hornets brought the ultimate energy to Field Day this past Friday! 🐝

Even though it was a hot one, our students had a fantastic time playing games and staying cool with delicious Kona Ice. 🍧

A huge thank you to Ms. Schaefer for coordinating this amazing event, and to our wonderful staff and volunteers for braving the heat. 🙌

Our Treakle Hornets are proud of our school and excited to protect our watershed! Ms. Looney and Ms. Jones' classes teamed up to clean the schoolyard before Field Day. 🐝

What an inspiring day at Treakle Elementary as we hosted our annual Graduation Walk! Seniors from Deep Creek High School, who once walked these very halls as elementary students, came back to visit before they officially graduate next week. Our younger Hornets lined the hallways to cheer them on, high-five the grads, and see what their own futures can hold. We are so incredibly proud of these future graduates and loved welcoming them home. Congratulations to the Deep Creek High School Class of 2026! 🎓
