The threat of flooding has been reduced in our area and road conditions continue to improve. As a result, Chesapeake Public Schools will operate on a NORMAL SCHEDULE tomorrow, October 4, 2022, for all schools and offices.

We have been alerted by the City’s Emergency Operations Center that weather conditions will worsen midday tomorrow, resulting in the potential for severe flooding, making travel dangerous. As a result, Chesapeake Public Schools will be CLOSED for all students and school staff on Monday, October 3, 2022. Classes will not meet remotely during this closure.
