Beulah Duke Learning Academy is a not-for-profit ministry of Chesapeake Christian Center, providing early childhood education and quality care designed to meet the needs of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years old.

Job Qualifications:

Have a loving, nurturing personality and a positive attitude!
Experience working with children in a child care setting
Coursework in early childhood education or CDA preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Current CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus!
Job Responsibilities:

Approach daily duties with enthusiasm and positive attitude.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
Plan, organize, and oversee implementation of a curriculum that is faith based.
Maintain appropriate documentation, and meet timelines expected.
Attend regular staff meetings for group planning and problem solving.
Ensure developmentally appropriate lesson plan activities that are based on each child’s needs, strengths, and interests.
In collaboration with the Director, see to the ordered arrangement, appearance, cleanliness, decor, and learning environment.
Follow policy and procedures listed in the staff handbook.
Conduct routine inspections of area for health, safety, fire, and occupancy compliance and take necessary corrective action.
Provide excellent customer service to all children, families and co-workers.
Assist in creating an attractive, positive classroom environment.
Plan and organize recreational activities.
Follow classroom daily schedule.
Attend all required trainings and in-services as required.
Supervise children: maintain their health and safety at all times.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.50 - $11.50 per hour

Christian Academy is in search of a food specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, hard-working and loves children.

This position is for 7 AM to 1PM

Responsibilities

Preparing meals for daycare children and staff
Take meal count of who is eating before every meal.
Serve meals to children.
Planning weekly menu and grocery list for daycare meals
Cleaning dishes after every meal and snack
Keeping kitchen neat and tidy
Ensure quantities for CACFP guidelines are met.
Interact with children when serving food.
Ensure safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used.
Qualifications

Currently hold or able to obtain Safe Serve Certificate for food safety.
Ability to pass drug test, background checks and TB screening
Pass 10 hour child care certification course
