Wow and wow! I can’t believe it’s 2021 already! 2020 was definitely a year that helped each of us to grow in so many ways! It had it’s ups and downs but we’re still here!

And I know that the way students have had to learn and teachers have taught this year has been unconventional, to say the least! BUT, we WILL overcome! Our children WILL still achieve all that they are supposed to!

If you’re child is in need of extra math help or you’re interested in continuing to build their math foundation for next school year, I’m here to help! I can meet with your child virtually and help to strengthen areas where they’re weak and continue to build their math confidence! Hello everyone!! It’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted on this and I apologize! Life has truly changed for all of us but together, we WILL get through it!

As many schools are starting virtually and parents and teachers are learning this new “normal,” it will be an adjustment for all of us! Virtual learning isn’t easy for most students and I’m offering my help to make as smooth a transition as possible! I will be offering virtual tutoring sessions (hopefully I’ll be able to do face-to-face soon!) for this school year. I’ll have a limited number of spots so please contact me as soon as possible for rates and other information!

Again, this is a new adventure for all of us but as we continue to extend grace to each other, it will get better! I’m ready for a great, adventurous school year!

Hello! It’s been awhile since my last post! It’s been a VERY busy school year...I can’t believe it’s more than half way over! This is the time where some
students want to give up and feel really exhausted! Continue to encourage them to finish the race strong and to the best of their ability!

It’s summeerrrrrrr!!!! This school year seemed to go by quickly! It was filled with ups and downs... highs and lows. But through it all, I still know that teaching is what I’ve been called to do! I’m going to take the next few weeks relaxing and enjoying my family, as we prepare to take TWO of our kids to college-wow!!

I will be offering math enrichment over the summer,
starting July 1st for about 4-5 weeks. I know that NO student wants to do work over the summer but I promise you if you have your child do 1-2 hours a week of reading, writing and math over the summer, it WILL make a difference in the fall! I can’t believe it’s spring break time!! It’s been a great school year, full of ups and downs. Teaching is NOT for the faint of heart... you have to be ready for the good, the not so good... EVERYTHING! But I can say it’s one of the most rewarding professions ever! I’m going to take this time to reflect, relax and to get rejuvenated! I’m going to take a few days to do NOTHING! Then maybe find a show to binge watch and then begin to plan for the last six weeks of the school year! Everyone take some time to smell the roses and spend some time with your loved ones!

Hey guys!!! I can’t believe the school year is going by so quickly!! I hope you’re school year is going well and your children are learning a lot! I just wanted to give some information about the SAT and ACT and also upcoming test dates! For seniors, the December SAT and ACT are crucial for applications and some scholarships. My helpful hint is to begin EARLY, especially if your child struggles with test taking. I normally say to set aside 6-8 weeks of preparation for the tests. Consistent practice is the key!

I also would say to have your child start early-maybe after they take Geometry. The more that they are exposed to the test, the better they will do! If you have questions or are interested in tutoring, feel free to message me-I have limited spots. Remember, preparation is key!

Hey!! I know that many of us on the east coast are bracing for Hurricane Florence and I’m praying for all of those in its path.

Even in the midst of this, math is always there!! The way that storms are tracked and the position of the storm definitely involves math! I encourage you to see that math is all around us and it’s always a good time for math!! Praying for the storm to go away!!

Teaching is NOT easy! Some days, I question am I doing enough... did I teach that topic effectively... are my students learning... am I having a an impact in their lives... I know that my students have obstacles, I know that they have doubts and insecurities.

One of my goals is to let my students know that I too have insecurities, doubts, obstacles that I’ve had to overcome. Some days are going to be challenging while other days are going to be AMAZING! Teaching is sooooo rewarding and I pray that God will continue to use me to reach every student He sends my way!!

I truly believe that education is the key to so many things!! As we gear up to start a new school year, let us continue to remind our children/students, to keep pushing towards their dreams! Remind them that an education the key to unlocking so many doors! I know no one is ready to go back to school but let’s partner together to make it an amazing school year! It truly takes a village to prepare our children for their destinies!
